san yuan li market
We were supposed to go hiking on Saturday to see the shedding of leaves on fragrant hills. I woke up early to read the weekend’s column of Eyal Shani and Lihi Hanoch (food – what else…). Asparagus tales from Shuk Hakarmel made us do last minute changes and look for the nearest food market. Some phone calls / googeling and we found our market. We have reached the beautiful San Yuan Lin market, very near our apartment apparently, to find a great place for fresh (organic?!) vegetables, meat, fresh seafood and what not. We will be visiting regularly. On our way out, N spotted the most beautiful pestle and mortar which is now proudly decorating our kitchen (and forming my two pestle and mortar collection).
how to get there?
it is somewhere in the area of Xin Yuan Jie / Xin Yuan Nanlu area. on the map, it is on the corner of the third ring, a bit west of 'Hilton'+ 'Kempinsky' hotel. north-west of 'Great Wall Sheraton'+'Hard RockCafe'. we told the driver 'San Yuan Li Cai ....' and we got there...
